Solana hotel Malta
The Solano hotel Malta is a luxury hotel in Malta that provides a great
base for your holiday in Malta. The Solano hotel is located on the main
street in Mellieha village which is a small resort in the north of Malta.
The Solano hotel is in abusy location with many shops, bars and
restaurants nearby and the taxi rank and local bus station right on your
doorstep if you are looking to get around the fantastic island of Malta.
The Solano hotel has some great leisure facilities but you are only a few
minutes from the beach at Mellieha bay which is about 2km downhill from
the hotel. You can walk to the beach but the very steep hill on the way
back will probably require a bus or short taxi ride. But if you are
staying at the Solano hotel there is no need to travel to the beach as you
can have a swim in the superb rooftop pool which offers great views over
Malta and even the island of Gozo on a clear day.
The Solano hotel also
has a nice indoor pool which you may use in the winter season and also a
fitness centre. The Solano hotel also has a small games room with pool
tabel and video games for children. You can also watch major sporting
events in the big TV room at the Solano hotel.
The accomodation at the Solano hotel is a very high standard with self
catering luxury apartments and hotel rooms offered on a bed and breakfast
and half board basis. The Solano hotel has 65 rooms all equipped with air
conditioning, internet access,staellite tv, mini bar and luxury en suite
bathroom. All rooms have a balcony or terrace so if you are looking for a
quieter room I would request a room at the back of the hotel as the rooms
facing the main street will be busy outside. Some customers love the rooms
facing onto the main street as you can sit with a drink and watch all the
hustle and bustle of the main street in Mellieha village.
Dining at the Solano hotel Malta is also a pleasure with a selection of
quality restaurants offering a variety of locally produced dishes and
international food. You can dine at the Tosca restaurant, Cafe Puccini or
the Vista de Mar rooftop restaurant. There are also many good restaurants
within 100 yards of the Solano hotel so it is easy to eat out every night
if you fancy a change.
The Solano hotel is a good 4 star hotel but be aware that they also sell
timeshare so you may be asked to go on a presentation, there is no real
pressure as once you have confirmed you are not interested the timeshare
reps will leave you alone to enjoy the rest of your stay in Malta.
